Asclepidarium combines many years of succulent cultivation, botanical photography, field observations and specialist documentation.
The website began as a private site by and for succulent enthusiasts. A large proportion of the photographs show plants from our own collection; further images were taken on journeys through Namibia and South Africa between 1987 and 2015.
In this new version, material accumulated over many years is made more accessible through responsive design, searchable galleries, complete specialist articles and cross-links between species, habitats and cultivation observations.
The photographs and illustrations are protected by copyright. High-resolution original files may be made available on request where appropriate.
